36. 1h 07’22  La Gamine fait embaucher Charlot dans un restaurant. Le patron lui demande aussi de chanter.
Pour que Charlot retienne les paroles, la Gamine les écrit sur ses manchettes, qu’il perd dès son entrée en scène…
Il improvise la chanson dans un merveilleux charabia et sa pantomine obtient un franc succès.
Deux agents essaient d’arrêter la jeune femme, mais le couple leur échappe
et s’éloigne le lendemain vers l'horizon avec détermination et optimisme.
